ABOUT ROBBIE
Leading with passion & empathy

Robbie grew up in the rural, western Massachusetts town of Southwick, and later attended Northeastern University in Boston, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2008. He now lives in Dover, New Hampshire with his husband and their two dogs.

Robbie has spent his entire professional career working in the insurance industry for several global companies. He started his career in customer service and sales, and later moved to Information Technology working as a Business Sytems Analyst and now as a Product Manager. Working in a fast-paced, project management environment, he has been responsible for leading projects while delivering results on-time and within budget.

Outside of work, Robbie is active in local and state politics, and cares deeply about democracy and human rights. Robbie is a member of a local political committee where he served as treasurer, and chair of the organization's finance & fundraising committee from 2021 - 2023. He now leads the organization as co-chair with responsibilities for co-developing the strategic vision and goals, and leading the executive committee. Robbie also serves as an active member of many of the organization's standing committees, including candidate recruitment & campaign, finance & fundraising, operations & technology, and programs & events. In April 2023, he was elected as the local committee chair representative from Strafford County to serve on the state-level political committee, ensuring local committees have a voice in state committee decisions. Robbie is a member of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition's Next Gen Global Leaders Network, a network of bipartisan leaders who work to promote U.S. global leadership in the areas of diplomacy and development as a means for ensuring U.S. prosperity and national security. Robbie also previously served on the executive board of an LGBTQ+ political committee, advocating for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.

Outside of politics, Robbie serves on the Board of Directors for Community Action Partnership of Strafford County, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that assists community members in need with food, education, childcare, utilities, transportation, housing, emergency shelter, and access to other services. In his personal time, Robbie enjoys hiking, running, learning Spanish, traveling and spending quality time with friends and family.

Robbie believes in the positive impact of local government and serves as City Councilor for Ward 2 in Dover, New Hampshire. Robbie serves as the Council's liaison for the Parking Commission, Downtown Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Advisory Board, Waterfront Tax Increment Financing Advisory Board, and Cemetery Board. During his first term on the Council, Robbie was a fierce advocate for public education funding, making the final motion that ensured the Dover Public Schools were fully funded in the face of drastic cuts to state education funding in 2022. He also successfully introduced and passed a resolution to condemn bigotry and antisemitism after local businesses and minority groups were targeted by hate groups, affirming the City as a welcoming and inclusive community. He was one of the votes in favor of the City entering into several public-private partnerships with property developers that include commitments for the development of over 700 units of housing, including 80+ attainable/affordable housing units. He also stood up for the LGBTQ+ community and communities of color by sponsoring and passing a resolution that prohibits the use of City resources for the purpose of unconstitutionally banning books for ideological reasons.

Robbie believes strongly in diversity, equity and inclusion, and is an advocate for building a strong democracy in Dover and New Hampshire as a whole. He believes that building community resilience in all its forms must be done through a lens of equity and inclusion, ensuring that all voices are represented at the tables where decisions are being made.
