MEET ROBBIE 
Leading with passion & empathy

I grew up in the rural, western Massachusetts town of Southwick, and later attended Northeastern University in Boston, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Having accumulated a mountain of student loan debt, and graduating during the 2008 financial crisis, I moved home with my family and eventually got a job working for a national insurance company. I worked my way up the corporate ladder, and eventually secured a new position in IT. This is how I ultimately ended up in Dover, where I now live with my fiancé and our two dogs.

Since 2o12, I've worked in IT first as a Business Systems Analyst and now as a Product Manager. Working in a fast-paced, project management environment, I have been responsible for leading small and medium sized projects, delivering on time and within budget. I was also responsible for developing training materials and on-boarding new analysts.

I've been fascinated by democracy ever since being taught about our nation's founding principles and ideals. However, my passion really began when I experienced first-hand how these principles and ideals haven't been fully realized.  As a child, I witnessed racist vitriol and physical attacks directed at my multi-racial family. As a newly-out gay teenager, I watched in horror as the news reported on the brutal murder of Matthew Shepard, simply for being gay. As a young adult, I protested for marriage equality on the steps of the Massachusetts State House until I had no voice left. All of these experiences taught me that we have the power to change our democracy if we stand together. Now, as an adult, the time has come for me to use my voice to ensure our principles and ideals are realized by ALL Americans!

In 2020, I joined the New Hampshire Coordinated Campaign, holding signs, knocking doors, and making phone calls to fight for these principles. After the election I joined the local Dover Democratic Committee where I serve as Treasurer for the 2021-2023 term. I'm also an At-Large Delegate to the New Hampshire Stonewall Democrats, representing the LGBTQ+ community. I believe that we can make the biggest impact when we focus our efforts locally, and so I ask for your support in my next endeavor to the Dover City Council.
